New Intake- September 2026

We are looking forward to welcoming you and your child to Cardinham School. Starting school is an exciting milestone, and we are committed to making the transition into Reception as smooth, positive and enjoyable as possible for both children and their families.

As part of our transition arrangements, you will have the opportunity to speak with a member of our EYFS team. This discussion will allow you to share important information about your child, including their interests, strengths and any additional needs, while also giving you the chance to ask questions about starting school.

We will also be inviting children and their families to attend transition sessions at school. These visits will provide an opportunity for your child to meet staff, explore their new classroom and become familiar with the school environment before starting in September.

Further information regarding transition events, important dates and starting arrangements will be shared with families during the summer term.

Starting School in September

To support children in settling into school successfully, we may operate a gradual start to Reception during the first few days of the autumn term. Families will be informed of their child's start date and any transition arrangements in advance.

Admission Forms and Information

Please ensure that all admission and starting school forms are completed and returned to the school office by the specified deadline provided in your welcome pack. This information is essential in helping us prepare for your child's arrival and provide the best possible start to their school experience.
