CARDINHAM SCHOOL AND NURSERY

Where potential is nurtured and futures are inspired

Education that goes beyond the curriculum

Hedgehog Class

Hedgehog Class

Welcome to Hedgehog Class, the youngest class at Cardinham Primary School. Hedgehog Class is made up of our Nursery, Reception and Year 1 children, providing a caring and nurturing environment where our youngest learners can thrive. We recognise that these early years are a crucial stage in a child's development, and we are committed to helping every child build confidence, independence and a love of learning.

In Hedgehog Class, learning is engaging, hands-on and carefully tailored to meet the needs of each child. Through a balance of play-based exploration, practical experiences and structured teaching, children develop the key skills they need to become successful learners. We encourage curiosity, creativity and resilience while supporting children to grow socially, emotionally and academically.

Hedgehog Class is taught by Mrs Anstis and Mrs Purser, who work closely together to provide a stimulating and supportive learning environment. They are supported by Mrs Butler and Mrs Smith, who help children to develop their confidence, achieve their potential and feel happy and secure in school.

We are proud of our Hedgehog Class children, who bring enthusiasm, imagination and joy to our school every day. Their first experiences at Cardinham Primary School help to lay the foundations for a lifelong love of learning.
